Hi, I’m Mubina – the heartfelt founder of Mubina Kara Design, a full-service residential design studio with offices in Toronto, Ontario and Orlando, Florida and Dubai, UAE. I know the thought of redesigning your home can feel exciting but also daunting. If you’re like most people, you’ve wondered, Where do I even start? How do I source all the materials? My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Mubina. We hired herself and Xana Group to complete a whole home renovation on the house we purchased and are absolutely in love with the results. We provided her with a few inspiration pictures and she took it from there! She brought us to suppliers to look for plumbing and lighting fixtures, tiles, stone counter tops and cabinetry. Her knowledge of space, color and design was of great help as she guided and made suggestions that we would have never considered. Mubina is patient, kind, knowledgeable and always willing to provide assistance. Between frequent site visits and late night email chains she was always available to help us in a pinch. We had the pleasure of working with Mubina on our kitchen renovation. On our first meeting with her, we knew she was the right fit. She spent her time taking precise measurements and really listening to what we wanted in our new kitchen. She suggested some great ideas and, in a few days, had 3D drawing ready for us so that we could clearly see what out transformed kitchen would look like. She gave us two different options to work with. Once we decided on the option we preferred, she was there to walk us through the colour selection for the cabinetry, countertops, knobs, tiles and even helped us add the final touches with some decor pieces for the kitchen. Mubina was absolutely a pleasure to work with. With her expertise in interior designing, she helped turn our vision into reality!

It was a great experience working with Mubina. In the spring of 2021 we decided to renovate our basement and at first we were not sure where to begin. Once we met with Mubina and she shared her concept of what the space could become, we were not only excited but knew we wanted to work with her. During the project we met a few times and these meetings helped to create the vision we wanted. From simple questions to changes in design, Mubina was able to make things work out. Once the concept of her design started becoming more of a reality, we knew we had made the right decision to work with her.
